a nice trip on the lakes!
Hello all!..well, after finally settling down to life up here in the north, I decided to take the family for a trip on lake windermere, aboard a very modern little boat!..Ever the investigator, I collared one of the senior members of the crew, and got down to work. "what do you think of this "bownessie" thing, I asked him. I think you could have heard his laughter all the way across the lake!. "there is no living diosaurs in this lake" he replied, "Of couse not", I replied, but I continued to dig a little, "There might be a strange fish or eel or two here" I said. ""Hum..true" he countered, with a resigned look upon his face.
So, with a firm jawline, I ventured up onto the open uper deck, and stood, whilst the light rain fell down on me, and very carefully scanned the llake surface, watching for any distubances etc. The end result of my hour-long watch?..Nowt!!!..Not even a soggy canoest!!..Still, can't win them all I suppose!!

Re: mutilated whale case
Thanks for the comment on this case!. Futher to your comments, whilst it is true that many people claim "alien" causes for mudane events, this particlular case is VERY intresting for the following reasons:-
1) it came right in the middle of TWO UFO waves of activity, exactly ten years apart
2) both involved injuries that could not be explained away by experts, these injuries were very simular to so-called " cattle mutilations" cases involving UFO activity.
3) both occured in the same spot of our coastline.
it's very nice to hear that someone has read "the rising of the moon", not least of all because I co-wrote the book with Jon!..LOL!!!. The book itself has sold some 1200 copies of it's first edition (1999) and is now available from amazon etc, in a new second edition, which includes photos! (hurrah!).
one futher strange thing about this, these events happened in 1987 and 1997, in the same month of the year. Also Exmouth and the surrounding area had under gone a UFO wave of activy every ten years from 1907-1997, BUT last year (2007) we had hardly any activty, however a whale was found on a nearby beach, early in the year. Why no UFO activity last year?....not an idea on that one!..mabye it was a galatic bank holiday!..

argue..argue...everyware!
I don't know what it is, but everyware I go I seem to end up in a argument!, most often over my subject of the paranormal. Take for instanse, my membership of the "most haunted"forum. Over the last two days or so, I have had a running debate over the case of the two mutilated whales, found on the shoreline, down here in Exmouth, in 1997 and 1987. Because I stated that these cases occured during UFO waves of activity in the area, then a cetain person on the forum thought that I was infering that aliens were responsible for these events!. NOT
SO!.....I tend to think that these barbaric acts are bring carried out by humans, why?..god only knows,

sunday again!....as if it matters!
Kids fighting, tv on, and the same old routine!...ah! the joys of family life eh?. It never ceases to amaze me that, despite of all our moaning about the trials of families, we humans still love it so much. For me, weekends do not seem all that different to weekdays. Working from home catapults one into a totally different lifestyle. Writing, being a creative process, requires a cetain ammount of peace and quiet, if one is to achieve it well, or so I belive. However, this does go with family life!. The edn result is that I tend to do most of my writing late at night, after everone is in bed. However, this has the drawback of meaning that I tend to be very sleepy first thing in the morning, just the time when both parents are needed to be on top form, to deal with the kids etc. One has to perform a very fine balancing act here. The end result is that my dear wife really does have to deal with things a lot more than she should!. What would we all do without her I wonder?.. God bless wifes everyware!
